Raag Yaman is one of my favourite ragas. The way the suras progress in this raag is truly magical and definitely a treat for the listener. My grandfather and I love singing Yaman together and composing new compositions in this Raag. So what better way to kickstart this entire journey than with Raag Yaman?

 

I present to you a heartfelt conversation on Raag Yaman with my grandfather, woven into the notes of one of Mirabai’s timeless bhajans, “Chalo man ganga Jamuna teer”. This soulful rendition has been has been composed by my grandfather himself.
